aari embroidery

hi, as i said i'm here with some basic photo's.

the first two photo's show's how the frame look's.

and the rest of the phot's show how to tag your cloth with frame and how to hold the needle and the thread.

i'll come with more pictures in future, which shows all the details of aari.

some of my nib painting and mural painting




brinjal and raw banana curry-cookery


hi today i'm going to give one tasty receipe which goes well with rice,rice noodles[idiyaappam],puttu and anything

violet brinjal -4-5[cut into thin staright ]
raw banana -1 medium[also cut as same as brinjal]
coconut milk - 1cup
red chilli powder -2tsp
corriander powder -1tsp
big onion - 1 [cut into small thin ]
tomatto - 1[cut into small portions]
tamarind pulp -3tbsp
salt
oil -1/2 cup
for seasoning
mustard -1tsp
red chilli[dry] - 1
curry leaf - a little


first the veg should be cut into thin portions of equal size.
take oil in a pan, let it heat, deep fry all veg till golden brown. take it and keep it away.
now in another pan take 1-2 tsp of oil add the onions and fry, then add tommatto,

then add deep fried veg and add all powders and tamarind pulp and salt. cook till the gravy is thick now add little coconut milk and again cook unitll gravy is formed.

for seasoning add the seasoning items one by one in oil and add to curry.

now i'm learning aari embroidary which is my dream. i always wanted to make a designer saree on my own. and did 2-3 sarees too but not upto the quality. so i thought of aari.

i went into net in search of this kind of embroidary, but found very few.

i'll try to post as many details as i can for new starters who look in to net for the above.

if possible step by step photo guid also i'll provide.

so wait. soon i'll be back with lot's of photo's.

beetroot curry-cookery




beetroot - 1no[cut into small peices , as small as u can]
big onion - 1 finely cut
coconut milk - thick milk 1 cup
red chilli powder - 1tsp
corriander powder - 1tsp
turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
salt - to taste

to seesoning
oil - 2tsp
musturd - 1/2 tsp
curry leaf - little
small onion - 2 cut into thin rounds
fenal seeds 1/3 tsp

add beetroot to pan and add all powders, salt and little water cover and boil until half cooked
now add coconut milk and let it boil till beetroot fully cooked without covering otherwise the milk will curdle. now the curry too will get thicker, bring down.take oil in another frying pan and add mustered seeds when spluter add onion let it turn golden brown . add fenal seeds and curry leaf.
add this to beetroot.

pennywort salad [vallarai keerai in tamil]-cookery



IT'S A PURE VEG SALAD GOOD TO HEALTH

pennuwort or vallarai - 1 or 2 bunch[washed well and very finely cut as thin as hair]
small onion - 10-15 [finely chopped]
green chilli - 1 or 2 [finely chopped]
coconut - 1 tbspoon [scrapped]
salt - to taste
lemon - 1/2 lemon


the only thing to remember is to cut all [except lemon] very very thin.
now mix all items with a spoon add lemon juice to it and mix well.
keep all things ready separately, mix 1hr before serving.

spicy meal maker / soya recipe




here i'm going to add a soya recipe of my mom.which is healthy.

ingrediants.
soya[meal maker] - 10 to 15 nos
big onion - 2 nos[finely chopped]
green chilli - 1[finely chopped]
curry leaf - few[chopped]
red chilli powder - 1 tea spoon
turmeric porder - 1/2 teaspoon
fennel seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
salt - to taste
oil - for frying
coconut - 2tablespoon scrapped


first crush meal maker, and add to boililng water,keep for 1mt and drain the water and squeeze the water from it,
now add all ingrediants to it except oil. mix well
heat pan, pour oil in it[2tbspoon] and add the meal maker mixture to it.
start frying it till it turns golden brown.
[add little oil inbetween if needed]. it's a dry dish not gravy.
